These instructions should be used to update either the Windows Client Write-Up system or the Windows Computer Checkbook system.

  1. To uninstall any existing version of the Windows Client Write-Up System, this includes any DEMO version, previously installed. Click on the Start button located on the Windows Task Bar, highlight Settings and then click on Control Panel.
  2. Once the Control Panel Window appears find and click on the Add/Remove Programs Icon. This will bring up the Add/Remove Program Window, listing the programs installed on your computer.
  3. Scroll through the list looking for WinCWU.

Note: If WinCWU was not found it just means the Client Write-Up system is not currently installed on your computer and you should close all open windows and skip to Step 1C.

  4. If WinCWU was found, then highlight it and click on the Add/Remove button.
  5. A window will appear asking if you really want to remove the program from your computer. Click on the Yes button and Windows will uninstall the Client Write-Up system.
