Tax Tables
- The Tax Table Screen will not display. The system does not generate and error message, but taking this option does nothing.
I had once instance where this was caused because the system was missing the \Windows\System\MSSTDFMT.DLL file (Microsoft Data Formatting Object Library). I copied the file from our CD and registered it. This fixed the problem.
Win 9x - cd \Windows\System
2000 - cd \Winnt\System32
Win XP - cd \Windows\System32
Copy D:\System32\Redist\MS\System\Msstdfmt.dll
Regsvr32 Msstdfmt.dll
- Error 381 while trying to being up the Calendar Years Screen.
I had one instance where this was caused by an OCX file be registered or registered incorrectly. Here are the (3) OCX files used by the Calendar Years option.
- regsvr32 msmask32.ocx
- regsvr32 \pcsw\vsflex6d.ocx
- regsvr32 \pcsw\resize32.ocx
- CCB:To update the tax tables after an update take:
Utilities -> System Utilities -> Get Updated Tax Tables After Update
Note: The system will not update Local or custom tax tables you have entered. You will have to manually add the new tax year.
- CCB: If the tax table do not update, then check:
- They have a new version of the program
- Go to Setup -> System -> Tax Tables and bring up FEDS and FEDM at least to verify the new year's tables are there and correct.
- The Fiscal Year, Current Period and Calendar Year are correct.
- If the client has both CCB and CWU and they installed the CCB to a different location then CWU. Then check the Default Data Directory Screen. Make sure that the Use CWU Default Data for Tax Tables is unchecked. Otherwise the tax tables may not update properly.
Note: On new version (4.66+) you can only install both to the same place.
- CCB: Undefined Year in Table - A tax table setup for this employee is missing, not setup for the current year. Check the following things.

If they are using a State Tax Jurisdiction make sure that correct State Tax Table has been selected.
The same thing applies to City and/or Locailty Tax Jurisdictions. Make that the correct tax tables have been selected.
- Go into Setup -> System -> Tax Tables and make sure that the tax tables being used are setup for the current year.
