State Unemployment & Withholding Reports
All
- You must click OK on both screens to get both pages of the unemployment report to print. Clicking OK on the first page prints the Continuation page. Which lists the employees and their quarterly wages.
Clicking OK on the second screen prints the Tax Report. Which includes Ferderal ID Number, quarter being reported, total wages, total taxable wages and taxes due.
A common mistake is not clicking OK on the second page but instead clicking Close. Which closes the screen without printing the Tax Report.
Illinois
- Withholding Report
- Illinois Withholding - This option prints the Illinois
Quarterly Withholding Form.
- Create IL Quarterly Magnetic File - This option creates a file
called D#.ILU, where "#" is the Client ID, in
the Default Data Directory.
Note: The system only keeps (1) copy of this file. If the file
exists (ie: from last quarter) the system will overwrite the existing
file.
- Copy/List IL Magnetic File - This option allows you to view the
file or copy it to a diskette.
Tennessee
- Withholding Report
- The state of Tennessee will not accept Page 1, it will
only accept the Continuation Page. This is why the second screen is
blank (no fields show). You will have to manually fill out Page
1.
Note: You can get the figures by printing a 941 Report
The Create Diskette File option will create a file called
Wage.txt on the diskette. This file contains just the information
shown on the the Continuation Page (employee name, SSN and
wages).
- So can create a modem file, which can be sent to the state.
- Create TN Unemployment Modem File - Will create a file name
D#.TNU, where "#" is the Client ID, in
the Default Data Directory.
- List/Copy TN Unemployment Modem File - This option allows you
to list the file for checking or to copy the file to a diskette.
