Error 15000: Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one.
This means that Windows still thinks there is an installation process still going on. Follow the steps below to check and remove the installation process.
- Close all programs and remove our CD-ROM from the drive
- Click on Start -> Run
- Type in Regedit and press [enter]
- Make a backup of the Windows Registry
- Create a Hold directory if the computer doesn't have one
already
- Click on Registry
- Click on Export Registry File
- In the Save In Field select the Hold folder and type
in backup in the File Name Field, then click Save
- Click on
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer
- Look for a folder labeled InProgress.
If found then Delete the InProgress folder.
- Look for a folder labeled RollBack.
If found then Delete the RollBack folder.
- Close everything and Reboot the computer.
At this point you should be able to install the program. You may want to
try installing the Windows Installer Cleanup first to see is
the installer is working and just incase you need it to remove our
program.
Note: I has one instance where doing this didn't help but it did
allow me to remove the program through the Add/Remove Programs Icon.
Which in turned allowed me to install the program.
