Problems with Fonts

• Below is the list of Fonts we send with our system.
  
  
  1. Arial UL.ttf - Arial UL
  2. Advmicr.ttf - Micr E13B 2.1
  3. Ocraext.tff - Ocr A Extended
  4. Skandata.ttf - Skan Data Bar Code C39
  5. Skandatw.ttf - Skan Data Bar Code C39 Wide
  6. Skandatr.ttf - Skan Data R Bar Code C39
  7. Skandarw.ttf - Skan Data R Bar Code C39 Wide
  8. Skandemo.ttf - Skan Demo Bar Code C39
  
  
• If a report is printing incorrectly. Check to make sure the font being requested by the report is installed.
  
  Note: I had one instance where anything needing COUR.TTF (courier new), Unemployment Reports, Payroll Summary, printed in italics. I had to reinstall the font to get Windows to recognize the font. Which in turn allowed the reports to print in a normal courier font.
  
  
• To see if a printer is actually recognizing a font go into the printer properties and check the Font Substitution Table. It has to be listed there in order for the printer to be able to use it.
  
  Properties -> Device Settings (Tab)-> Font Substitution Table
  
  Note: Some printers may not have this tab.
  
  Note: You may have to remove the font, reboot and reinstall it to get the printer to recognize it.
  
  
• Statement Font Sizes can be changed in the following places.
  
  
  • Setup -> Reporting -> Font -> Statement Section
    
    
    • Company Name (ie: Performance Cycle)
    • Title (ie: Income Statement Unaudited)
    • Date Line (ie: For the One Month Ended September 20, 2004 and Auguest 31, 2005)
    
    
  • Setup -> Reporting -> Statement -> Column Widths & Fonts. Using this screen you have to select the report you want to change. You cannot select all reports, you have to select them individually.
    
    
    • Column Heading (ie: Current Period, Amount, Percent)
    • Account Heading (ie: Income, Cost of Sales, Expenses, etc)
    • Balance Lines (ie: Sales, Total Income, Insurance, Salaries, Total Expenses)
  
  
• The Transaction Number on the General Ledger Transaction Report prints on (2) lines.
  
  
  1. Goto Setup -> Reporting -> Font
  2. Select GL Trans List form the Resize Individual Reports Pull- down
  3. Change the Font Size to 9.60
  4. Click OK
  
  Note: You can also type in a font size if need to. The system will display the closes font size if it can't find that size. (ie: 9.10 -> 9.00)
  
  Note: This will only work with the Reports -> File Listing -> Ledger Transactions option. The Print Button on the General Ledger Transaction Entry Screen ignores the font setting.
  
  You can tell how they printed the report by the report heading.
