Record Taxes Paid
Overview
This option allows you to enter payments made to the IRS for payroll taxes. The payments entered are then posted to the clients 941 and 940.
The following State options are also setup.
- NJ - Unemployment Quarterly
- IL - Withholding Form
- GA -
- VA -
Note: The 941 & 940 figures entered here are not posted to the G/L. They are only listed on the laser 941 and 940.
Setup -> Payroll -> Record Taxes Paid
- To enter Federal Payroll Taxes.
- Enter the date the payment was made.
- Make sure the Liability Date is correct.
The Liability Date is the ending date of the quarter the payment was
for.
- Enter the total amount of the payment in either the 941 or
940 field.
The figure entered in the 941 field will posted to Line 14 on
the 941.
- Click OK to record the payment.
- Edit Payments - Enter the date the payment was made. The figure will appear in the approprate field. Enter in the correct figure or "0.00" to effectively erase the figure.
- View Payments - Click in the field corresponding to the payments you want to check and then click the View Payments Button. The system will display all payments record for the period selected.
